This gentleman was unhappy about the scar in his back following a burn 12 years ago. He had prior Laser treatment but improvement was negligible. This unfortunate patient had a blepharoplasty in the left upper eyelid in another Clinic and ended up with skin deficiency and was unable to close her left eye. Another surgeon in Greece attempted placing a silicon rod, but the condition got worse. Prof Wilson inserted a special 30 ml tissue expander in the upper eyelid above the scar, after removing the silicon rod. He completed the tissue expansion in 10 days, and the extra skin gained enabled this lady to close her eyes normally. She was thrilled with the outcome because finally she had a successful surgery after 3 previous failed surgeries.
