Fat grafting is a minimally invasive procedure that transfers purified fat from the patient’s body to the penile shaft. Before a fat grafting procedure, Prof Wilson collects and purifies adipose tissue. He typically performs Liposuction on the stomach or thighs, although fat he can collect fat from most anywhere on the body. Once he has collected enough fat, he uses special techniques to purify it. Purification removes unwanted cell debris, blood, and infiltration fluid. He then adds special growth factors and substances to prolong the life of fat cells. The surgical assistant makes a small incision at either the base of the penis or within a previous circumcision scar. He then inserts the cannula, through which he distributes fat around the shaft of the penis. Patient will have to wear loose fitting clothes for 1-2 weeks, and can resume penetrative sex after 1-2 weeks. He should also refrain from strenuous exercise for 1 month. For men who are self conscious about the size of their flaccid penis, ligament transection is indicated. It can increase the length of the penis when it is not erect. This surgery releases the suspensory ligament which anchors the penis to the pubic symphysis. This ligament between the penis and the pubic symphysis helps to keep a portion of the penis safely within the body. It also provides support for the penis when it is erect. At the same time, it creates the appearance of an arched angle between the penile base and pubic area. When Prof Wilson cuts this ligament, the flaccid penis is effectively lengthened since there is no attachment to keep the penis inside of the body. The penis will also lay lower against the body at an obtuse angle, giving the perception of lengthening.
Prof Wilson prefers general anesthesia for this surgery. He gains access to the Suspensory through a V shaped incision on the pubic area. Through this incision, he severes the suspensory ligament and inserts a buffer between the penis and the pubic symphysis to help prevent reattachment. Buffer materials may include tissue flaps or silicone implants. After completion of the procedure, the surgical assistant close the V shaped incision in the shape of a Y for further lengthening of the penis.
Patients should expect to need at least 2 days of recovery before returning to work. Patients can resume light exercise after 1 week, but limit more strenuous activity for 1 month. Dr Wilson permits normal sexual activity after 2-3 weeks. Some patients will experience a slight pain while having an erection. Final results are visible 3-6 months after the procedure.
Prof Wilson injects Temporary Fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Teoxane and Macrolane to increase the girth and length of the Penis. It is simpler to inject them and achieve the same results as fat, however they have the major disadvantage of being totally absorbed within 9 months. This mandates frequent repetition of the procedure.
