Full, plump lips are an important part of the sex appeal of a face, but there are limits. Larger lips may interfere with eating, drinking and speaking and might appear out of harmony with other features of the face. If you feel that your lips are too large, Lip Augmentation Reduction Cosmetics may be worth considering.
Prof Wilson performs surgery that can reduce lip size and alter their shape. This plastic surgery procedure may be performed alone or in combination with other facial cosmetic plastic surgery procedures. Concomitant surgeries usually involve chin augmentation, jaw augmentation or rhinoplasty.
Plastic Cosmetic Surgery procedure can make lips smaller by reducing the volume of the lips and altering their shape. This could be performed on the lower lip, upper lip, or both lips. In most cases, Prof Wilson uses only local anesthesia with sedation, and completes the surgery in about 60 minutes.
To determine whether you are a candidate for lip reduction surgery, we recommend that you schedule a consultation with Dr Wilson. He will examine your lips, and take measurements using a computer program to compare with our measurements of your face. He will also take a full medical history, listen to your concerns, assess your expectations. You can then agree if and lip reduction is right for you and on any other ancillary surgeries. You need to inform him about all medications you are taking, and smoking habits as these can interfere with your healing and surgical results.
When performing lip reduction surgery, Prof Wilson usually makes an invisible cut along the inner side of the lip, next to the mouth. This cut usually extends along the whole length of your lip. Then, he removes a carefully measured strip of tissue involving the skin, mucosa and sometimes muscle. He will then use absorbable stitches to stitch up the cut. In most patients, Prof Wilson operates on both the upper and lower lips simultaneously.
Right after your lip reduction, your lips might feel sore and tight, and it is normal to have some swelling and bruising. Sometimes you might feel discomfort, especially when moving your lips.
The Registered Nurse will provide you with guidelines about when you can resume normal activities after lip reduction surgery. Usually, you will need to eat and speak with caution, avoiding vigorous lip movements for a few days.
The Nurse will advise that you eat soft, pureed foods, and avoid oranges and tomatoes as their high acid content might irritate your wounds.
If your stitches hadn’t dissolved after 7-10 days, Dr Wilson’s assistant will remove them. By that time most of your swelling should have subsided.
Although it is considered safe, lip reduction does have a few risks, such as numbness and asymmetry. Luckily, both are temporary and tend to resolve within weeks.
Prof Wilson uses Fillers, Fat Injection or even Silicone Implants to enlarge the lips. The latter two are permanent.
Professor Wilson believes that affordable cost plastic surgery is the right of every individual. He will never allow financial restraints to prevent you from having a juvenile beautiful sexy appearance. Many factors affect the cost of Lip Surgery, including the extent of surgery, type of surgery, type of implants or fillers, and other factors. After the consultation, the patient coordinator will offer you an affordable price quote.
